Meet the world-class doctors behind eddii-Care
Dr. Rabab Jafri, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Endocrinology based in Texas. Dr. Jafri evaluates and treats patients for a variety of endocrine conditions from the newborn age to early adulthood. These include congenital issues related to malformation of glands at birth as well as acquired hormonal issues due to genetic and lifestyle factors. Her research involves clinical trials with the bionic pancreas (iLet®)-a device designed to automate control of blood sugars for people living with type 1 diabetes.
Dr. Kristen Mengwasser, MD, PhD, is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at eddii, providing scientific and clinical leadership. Dr. Mengwasser is a graduate of the MD-PhD program at Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham & Women's Hospital, holds a Masters in Biochemistry from Cambridge University, and a bachelor's degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard. Currently, she is pursuing her fellowship at UCSF and is a licensed physician in California.
