Farhaneh Ahmadi

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Farhaneh is eddii’s co-founder and CEO. After spending years as a researcher and getting her PhD in Biochemistry from Cambridge (UK) and her Masters in Immunology from Oxford, she advised many healthcare companies on their digital health strategy, before moving to the US to do her MBA at Harvard and founding eddii. She also lives with Type-1 diabetes (T1D) and volunteers for many healthcare organizations. When not working on eddii, Farhaneh enjoys going for long walks, good coffee and skimming through biz books.

Alonso Lucero

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Alonso, co-founder, and COO of eddii, brings over 10 years of experience in healthcare strategy, operations, and analytics. Formerly at Strategy & PwC and Monitor Deloitte, he possesses a strong educational background with a BA in Mathematics, a Masters in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University, and a MBA from Harvard Business School. When not shaping eddii's path, Alonso enjoys exploring the world with his loyal companion, Harvey the puppy.

Dr. Kristen Mengwasser

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

Dr. Kristen Mengwasser, MD, PhD, is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at eddii, providing scientific and clinical leadership. Dr. Mengwasser is a graduate of the MD-PhD program at Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham & Women's Hospital, holds a Masters in Biochemistry from Cambridge University, and a bachelor's degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard. Currently, she is pursuing her fellowship at UCSF and is a licensed physician in California.

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Pratik Patel

Pratik is eddii's forward-thinking CTO. A distinguished Engineering Leader with a dual master's degree from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he played a pivotal role at AWS and co-founded a successful blockchain company. Now at eddii, Pratik is responsible for shaping the technology stack, driving our tech strategy, and building a world-class tech team. When not immersed in the tech world, Pratik is likely found embroiled in video game, claiming it's all part of 'strategic research'.

James Northcutt

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

James, Chief Marketing Officer of eddii, brings years of brand-building and marketing expertise from some of the biggest names in toys and entertainment including Hello Kitty, Hot Wheels, Disney Pixar's Cars, and Squishmallows. James earned his MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management in Nashville, TN, before moving to Los Angeles. In his free time, you can either find James traveling on an adventure or hanging out on the beach.

Dr. Rabab Jafri

Dr. Rabab Jafri, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist at eddii. She provides guidance for developing eddii's at triaging protocols and clinical care to pediatric patients with T1D registered through eddii's virtual care portal. She completed her residency in pediatrics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology from the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital for Children. Dr. Jafri is a graduate of the Aga Khan medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She has participated extensively in T1D research, including trials for novel glucagon analogues, CGM accuracy and automated insulin delivery systems.

LEAD ANIMATOR

Valya Paneva

Valya Paneva is a highly skilled 3D animator with over 10 years of experience. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in animation from New Bulgarian University. Valya has worked on various projects, including animated films and video games. Additionally, she volunteers at SOS Animal - Grupo De Socorro Animal de Portugal, showcasing her dedication to animal welfare. Her expertise, creativity, and passion makes her a valuable asset in the field of animation.

Mio Shimizu

UI/UX DESIGNER

Mio is eddii’s UI/UX Designer. She blends creativity with functionality to elevate digital experiences. Her multicultural background and collaborative approach enrichers her comprehension of diverse perspectives. With a Master’s Degree in Human Factors Engineering from Tufts University, she’s strives to ensure that every design decision is purposeful and impactful. When she’s not diving into digital design, you can catch her grooving to tunes or binge watching shows while crocheting away.
